Patient Access Representative (55755)

HOURS:    Sunday - Thursday (7am - 3:30pm) OR Tuesday - Saturday (3pm - 11:30pm)                                      

PAY RATE $19.00/hr.

CPS Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious hospital in Syracuse, NY to find 2 Patient Access Representatives to become a vital part of their team!

This is a long term, temporary position with the potential to become temp-to-hire!  Work in a dynamic environment providing exceptional customer service each and every day!

Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Interview patients/family members and enter insurance information into system
• Insurance verification
• Direct patients to appropriate department
• Collect copays/deductibles
• Educate patients/family members on all forms
• Patient scheduling
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in healthcare admitting or related experience REQUIRED
• Knowledge of collections, medical insurance and account reconciliation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology, desired
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
