If you’re looking for a great new opportunity as a Benefits Administrator where you will partner and engage with previous and current employees regarding the administration of their benefits within a large, prestigious Healthcare Insurance Company, this job is for you! This opportunity is a temporary contract for a Full-Time position working Monday through Friday (8a-5p). The contract period runs through the end of April 2023 and would work REMOTELY most of the time. Travel into the office is expected to be needed 1-2 days a week, otherwise all work will be done remotely. Qualified candidates must reside in the Rochester, NY area. While on contract, employees will have access to internal job boards of this client to apply and interview for other roles.

Compensation for the Benefits Administrator role will be $24 - $31/hr - depending on experience.

Responsibilities of the Benefits Administrator:

  • Administering all active employee and retiree benefits
  • Communicating via email, phone, and in-person with employees when questions arise regarding benefit plans
  • Providing new hire benefit plan orientation and onboarding
  • Interacting with benefit vendors regarding 401k, FSA, HAS, life insurance, etc.
  • Maintaining HRIS database for new hires
  • Scanning historical employee records
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding private information
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Background Profile of the Benefits Administrator:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, plus 3+ years of experience in this type of setting
  • In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources required
  • Previous experience working with benefits plans and regulations
  • Strong employee relations skills to engage and assist employees regarding their benefits
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills and comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as HRIS/Payroll integrated systems
  • Capability to travel into the office as needed (usually around 1 time a week)
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19
