CNC Machinist - 1st and 2nd shifts

We are seeking CNC Machinists to join a Syracuse NY precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with 4-axis vertical mills or Swiss lathes, but individuals with experience on 3-axis machines and the potential to learn more complex machines will be considered. These are direct hire positions!

1st Shift: Mon-Fri: 7:00am-3:30pm
2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs: 2:00pm-12:30am OR 3:00pm-1:30am
$25-35 per hour - dependent upon experience and shift

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machinery including multi-axis mill turns and horizontal mills with pallet lines
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, shop travelers, and operation sketches
• Inspect parts to specifications and document results
• Install fixtures and set work offsets
• Prepare and set tools needed for machining operations
• Diagnose deviations and trends and adjust offsets to maintain quality product
• Report machinery, tooling, or quality issues to supervisor
• Run multiple machine centers as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
• Experience in set-up and operation of multi-axis CNC machinery (3-axis lathes minimum; 4/5-axis horizontal mills and pallet line experience a plus)
• High school graduate or equivalent; technical certification or degree a plus
• Ability to work from complex drawings containing GD&T
• Solid understanding of G-code; ability to program machines a plus
• Experience with low volume, high mix production a plus
