 TEMPORARY PROJECT - COMMISSIONS PROCESSOR (57427)

HOURS:          Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4: 30pm

PAY RATE:     $18-20/hr.

CPS Recruitment is partnering with a leading Registered Investment Adviser firm, in Syracuse NY to find a Commissions Processor to become a vital part of their team!

This position will be responsible for preparing, researching, and reconciling commission and accounting reports/calculation. This is an excellent temporary opportunity to work with one of the largest independently-held broker/dealer firms in the country!

This position will be responsible for preparing, researching, and reconciling commission and accounting reports/calculation.

Position duties include but not limited to:

  • Retrieve online statements for commission payments received (ACH, Checks, Wires) and maintains updated records of online instructions
  • Answer/research commission inbox emails and phone requests from representatives and sponsors; make outbound calls to fund companies and research open items
  • Utilize Excel to prepare commission calculations for sales representatives & programs
  • Assist with commission prep-list and commission cycle close
  • Assist with the tracking of representative exceptions, requests and corrections, as well as processing client adjustments
  • Review and reconcile accounts receivable receipts and bank deposits
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Commission/Accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word experience required, including pivot-tables, macros, vlookup, formulas, etc. Window applications such as Window Explorer, MS Word and Internet Explorer experience is required. 10-key and knowledge of SAGE/AccPac preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, including analyzing data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communication skills
