Contract Staff Accountant – HYBRID - Long Term Assignment (1 year)

• Staff Accountant $28-33 Per hour

CPS Recruitment is partnering with a Syracuse, NY area company to find a Staff Accountant for long-term contract expected to last at least one year.  This position offers a blend of remote and in-office work, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote, fostering a collaborative and flexible environment.
Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while adhering to US GAAP standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be key in supporting various financial functions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and account reconciliations with precision.
• Post journal entries and research and prepare account reconciliations monthly.
• Generate schedules, reports, and financial analysis on a regular basis.
• Document departmental procedures as necessary.
• Assist in preparation of documents and perform tasks related to external audit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and dedication in previous roles.
• Financial services industry experience a plus
