CPS Recruitment is looking for candidates for a great new opportunity as a Financial Analyst for a Healthcare Insurance Company. This opportunity is a Full-Time position working Monday through Friday with flexibility in start times (8-hour days starting between 7am to 9am EST). This is a two year-long contract through 12/2023, however there is contract to permanent potential for this role. This is a REMOTE opportunity but candidates must live in New York State.

Compensation for the Financial Analyst role will be $73,000 - $88,000 - depending on experience.

Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:

• Assisting with quarterly and annual filings for state and federal regulators
• Analyzing and interpreting financial records and reports to review and assess financial estimates
• Contributing to project cost/benefit analyses, process reviews, and the development of procedures to coordinate accounting transactions
• Managing documentation including process mapping and tracking of issues and their resolution
• Creating relationships across department to better resolve and support issues as they arise including acting as a consultant to management at all levels

Background Profile of the Financial Analyst:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• MBA or CPA preferred but not required
• 5+ years of experience in similar financial analyst roles required
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience using SAS a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
