CPS Recruitment is partnering with a well-known hospital health center in Syracuse, NY to find an experienced Health Information Technician for a contract to hire position. In this role you will be a vital part of the coordinating team by assisting with the release of health information.

HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

PAY RATE: $15.50/hr.

Responsibilities for the Health Information Technician include:

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and releasing information in medical records
  • Organizing health information based on established policies and procedures
  • Verifying patient information with Medical and Clinical Services staff
  • Other clerical duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Health Information Technician:

  • Accredited Record Technician preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Education in medical secretary or health information education preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience in a medical record department
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • COVID-19 vaccination
