We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated IT Tech Support Specialist to join a well-established company south of Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate for this position will be willing to provide technical support to a growing 50+ employee company and oversee desk side, network, server, and firewall issues as they arise. The successful candidate will take ownership of IT systems for two locations and manage the network build-out of a new location.

Responsibilities will include:
Handle servers and firewalls
Provide deskside support tech support
Provide technical phone support using Windows and Windows Server operating systems
Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify resolutions to resolve issues related to application use and configuration
Proactively collaborate in a team environment with peers to assist in resolving customer issues
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or an equivalent combination of work/school experience
5+ years of experience in an IT Support position
3+ years of experience in customer service is preferred
Experience with Windows, Windows Server, firewalls, TCP/IP protocol, WAN, LAN
Excellent oral and written communication skills required as this position will involve direct communications with customers
