Inside Sales Representative

$50-70K DOE – this is not a commission based position

CPS Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join a well-established firm in Syracuse, NY that provides innovative solutions in the electronics, engineering, and manufacturing industry. As a leading company in the field, this company prides itself on delivering exceptional customer support and maintaining strong relationships with their valued customers.

The successful candidate for the Inside Sales Representative position will possess excellent communication and organizational skills. In this role, you will provide support to senior sales managers and directly interact with our customer base. As a primary point of contact, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer support experiences, handling requests for quotations, schedule updates, expedites, and warranty claims. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, fostering positive customer relationships and maintaining a working knowledge of all markets, products, and policies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with employees across the organization to ensure efficient and effective customer support.
  • Responding to customer inquiries promptly and accurately, including coordinating and delivering quotations/proposals, confirming availability and lead times, managing RMA (Return Material Authorization) requests, and notifying customers of any price or product changes.
  • Maintaining customer information and opportunity status in the CRM system.
  • Coordinating customer visits and facilitating customer audits.
  • Regularly interfacing with assigned customers to review inventory, usage rates, and prepare for future demand.
  • Preparing and collecting any documents required by purchase orders and verifying customer-specific requirements are met.
  • Supporting costing/pricing exercises.
  • Facilitating collaboration across departments to resolve issues that may cause delivery delays.
  • Assisting with sales planning and soliciting customer forecast data.
  • Working with outside sales channels, including distributors and sales representatives.
  • Resolving issues related to distribution orders, such as pricing, delivery, and cancellations.
  • Attending trade shows and other events to generate new business opportunities.
  • Following up on leads from trade shows, web inquiries, and other sources.
  • Supporting the finance team in resolving aged receivables, credit memos, and short payments.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze situations and summarize options effectively.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting costing information, contracts, purchase orders, and other related documents.
