Machinist (55791)

HOURS:  7am to 3:30pm

PAY RATE: $16/hr. 

CPS Recruitment is partnering with a growing company in Syracuse, NY to find a Machinist to become a vital part of their team!

This is a fantastic DIRECT HIRE opportunity to work for an Employee Owned organization with an engaging atmosphere and company culture that fosters an environment of creativity and innovation!  Support the manufacturing process in this entry-level position responsible for producing parts using manual machine tools.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Set up and operate manual machines to complete orders
• Inspect parts
• Monitors and records inventory used
• Clean and perform machine maintenance as needed
• Qualify measuring tools
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year machining experience. 1 year certificate from college or technical school and 6 months related experience; or combination of both
• Ability to read and interpret documents / blueprints
• Ability to set and use measuring tools
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
