Mechanical Engineer

Salary $100K+ DOE

We have an outstanding position north of Albany, NY for a Mechanical Engineer.  As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of electro-mechanical assemblies for high and low voltage electronic military and industrial equipment.

Duties of the Mechanical Engineer will include:

• Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analysis to optimize electronic equipment
• Design and develop custom fixtures to assist in manufacturing, testing or qualification of units
• Coordinate mechanical activities such as drawing package completions, fabrication, and general product quality improvement
• Prepare design sketches and figures for presentations, quotes, and documents for sales/contracts
• Interface with customers, including design reviews, whitepapers, and design presentations
• Review and approve drawing packages
• Interface with vendors and sales personnel

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering field
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience with high reliability equipment and mechanical qualification such as shock as vibration
• Experience packaging dense power electronics for rugged environments
• Solid computer skills with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office
