CPS Recruitment is seeking a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist for a busy specialty medical office that is experiencing huge growth. This position offers flexibility with scheduling and rotates remote and in office work! Compensation for this Medical Coding and Billing Specialist role is $18-22/hr, DOE

As a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist, you will:

• Review medical documents to assign diagnostic and procedure codes according to established classification systems and standards
• Communicate with physicians and providers to ensure medical records are documented accurately to streamline the coding process
• Examine policies and procedures to guarantee classifications comply with all laws, regulations, and standards
• Post payments from patients, work claim denials, and investigate billing inquiries as needed
• Complete all documentation and classifications electronically, independently, and confidentially.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor including attendance at team meetings

Background Profile for the Medical Coding and Billing Specialist:

• CPC Certification required
• 1+ years healthcare coding experience preferred
• Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Proficiency with medical terminology and anatomy
• Great customer service skills and ability to use basic office equipment
