We are currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist in the Syracuse, NY area.

Your role as Technical Support Specialist will include:

  • Responding to support requests regarding computer software, hardware, or network operation including thorough and accurate documentation of all communications, issues and actions taken
  • remote troubleshooting and diagnostic services, repair scheduling, complaint handling, parts ordering, and providing company information.
  • Software installation and training
  • Preparing training materials and writing procedures
  • Some travel in Central New York will be required
     

Background Profile

  • Strong IT technical background, including networking, Windows OS and Mac OS, Microsoft Server 2012/2016, Active Directory tools, Group Policy and application support, including Google Apps
  • Proficiency with command line based switching and routing environments
  • proficient with wireless networking, security
  • Familiarity with Cisco and Open Source Voice over IP telephony
  • Ability to handle multiple calls and situations and follow them through to a solution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum AAS degree, equivalent experience will be considered
  • 3+ years of experience working in an IT support role
