We have Multiple Electronic Engineering Technician Openings Available to work for a leading Research and Development Company in the Syracuse, NY area.

Electronics Engineering Technician Duties include:
  • Perform layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify prototype and short run production systems, build RF cables and control cables.
  • Troubleshoot and test using electronic and RF-based test equipment, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing following test instructions and engineering direction.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model.
  • Set up standard test apparatus to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests.
  • Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components as well as record the effects on unit performances.
 
Education and Experience:
  • AAS Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related Technical degree. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of related experience as an Electronics Technician.
  • Experience with communication-related systems, radar systems and RF-based systems.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret electronic schematics, electronic drawings, mechanical drawings, test and assembly instructions, and specifications.
  • Able to setting up, test equipment using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other types of test equipment.
  • Must have experience hand soldering complex narrow pitch surface-mount devices and similar packages, assembly and test RF cables such as SMA, N-type and other cable/harness connectors is preferred with J-Standard certification a plus.
  • Experience working with radar systems, communication related systems, RF-based systems and navigation systems or other complex electronics technology is highly desirable.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
